  1. Payment Methods

Detach

$kit->paymentMethods->detach()#

Detaches a payment method from whichever customer it is currently attached to. The payment method itself is not deleted, it simply becomes unattached and can no longer be charged.

Errors#

ExceptionWhen
StripeOperationErrorThe payment method ID does not exist.

Notes#

If the payment method being detached was the customer's default, the customer is left with no default payment method, this call does not pick a new one for you.
This method does not touch your storage adapter directly. Call list() or sync() afterwards with the customer's ID and a userId if you want your stored copy to reflect the removal.
